  • 1 1/2 oz Rye whiskey or Cognac
  • 1/4 oz Absinthe
  • One sugar cube
  • Three dashes bitters
Rinse a chilled glass with the absinthe, add crushed ice, then discard contents. Mix other ingredients over ice in a separate glass, and strain into the absinthe prepared glass.
