About Batch & Bottle Glenfiddich Scotch Manhattan

Batch & Bottle is a lineup of super-premium ready-to-drink cocktails. The brand was launched in 2021 by William Grant & Sons and features some of the world's most iconic spirits brands: Monkey Shoulder and Glenfiddich whiskies, Hendrick's Gin, and Reyka Vodka. These spirits make for a perfect base for the master distillers at Batch & Bottle. The rest of the ingredients are carefully chosen to complement each other in the best possible way. All these pre-batched, bottled cocktails need is a couple of hours in the fridge and an optional garnish.

The Glenfiddich Distillery is stewarded by the fifth generation of the Grant family. Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch is made exclusively from malted barley, which is milled and mashed with water sourced from Robbie Dhu spring. The crystal clear spring water, which is bottled directly at the source, is incredibly pure — the distillery purchased 1,200 acres around the spring decades ago in order to protect its unique water supply. After the barley has been mashed, it is fermented in wooden fermentation tanks made of Douglas Fir. While wooden fermentation tanks are more expensive and difficult to maintain as compared to stainless steel tanks, they absorb a portion of the heat generated during fermentation, and thus, enable a slower and longer fermentation process. Following fermentation, the wash is twice-distilled through Glenfiddich's copper-pot stills (the distillery employs a craftsman onsite to tend to the stills, which are unique in shape and size) before the heart of the distillate is cut and prepared for maturation. The whisky then spends a number of years in ex-bourbon and sherry casks.

Known for its light, bright, fruity, and fresh style, Glenfiddich whisky serves as the perfect base for the Batch & Bottle Glenfiddich Scotch Manhattan bottled cocktail. The rest of the ingredients include their bespoke Granny Gordon's bitters and sweet vermouth. Chill it for at least 2 hours, pour over ice, garnish with a twist of orange, and enjoy a classic cocktail made easy. The cocktail is bottled at 60 proof.

About Cocktails

The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.

But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
