LOCALLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS

how-it-began

From seed to bottle, every drop of Elyx is 100% traceable to within a 15 mile radius of the small town of Åhus, Sweden. Each bottle is handcrafted to ensure a consistenly high quality spirit with a liquid silk mouthfeel.

SINGLE ESTATE VODKA

how-it-began

Absolut Elyx uses winter wheat grown exclusively on the Råbelöf Estate — a family owned farm that has produced high quality grain since the 1400s.

COPPER DISTILLED

ingredients.jpg

Elyx is manually distilled in a vintage 1921 copper column, still affectionately referred to by the craftsmen as Column 51. The copper still naturally catalyzes trace compounds in the spirit, purifying Elyx and adding to the rich, silky, smooth finish.

MASTERFULLY HANDCRAFTED

distillation

There are no computers involved in creating Elyx, only human intuition. The entire process, every handle, knob and lever, is adjusted by hand to produce consistent high quality batches every time.

COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY

Elyx sources everything from within a 15 mile radius so it’s no surprise that they are committed to producing sustainably.

LAND

tasting

The waste stillage from the distillery is used to feed over 7,000 animals on the Råbelöf Estate, whose waste in turn provides one third of the fertilizer for the winter wheat crops.

AIR

tasting

The production of Elyx is 100% carbon neutral. In addition, over 50% of the local transport of raw materials is carried out by trucks fueled by biodiesel — a goal they aim to increase to 80% by the year 2020.

WATER

tasting

All the fresh water used to produce Elyx comes from one of Sweden’s largest and purest aquifers. They use no artificial irrigation; no wastewater is untreated; and rainwater runoff is given back to the farmers for local agriculture.
