About Hornitos Tequila Plata

Hornitos Tequila is a Mexican tequila brand, steeped into rich history. Born in 1950 on Mexican Independence day in Jalisco, Mexico, it was founded by Don Francisco – the man famous for creating Reposado “before it was even a word”, revolutionizing the agave cooking process by using smaller ovens (hornitos) to better control the roasting, and for taking a stance against the Mexican government and setting new standards for what an authentic tequila should be like – it is in large part due to Don Francisco that 100% blue agave is the standard for true tequila today.

Hornitos Plata Tequila is a silver tequila, made from 100% blue Weber agave. Boasting a crystal-clear color with silver hints shining through, the nose is floral, fruity, and herbal while the palate is very agave-forward with citrus notes in the background. The finish is warm, smooth and medium-bodied. Whether you’re looking for a wonderful neat sipper or the perfect tequila for your Paloma, Hornitos Plata Tequila is exceptionally versatile.
