About Highland Park 50 Year Old 2020 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Highland Park 50 Year Old 2020 Release is a masterpiece that encapsulates five decades of craftsmanship. This whisky's journey began in 1968, with nine refill casks, carefully selected by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion. In 2008, these casks were re-racked into sherry seasoned oak and left to mature for another 12 years. Finally, in 2020, a single European oak butt was chosen and married with some of the 2018 batch, resulting in this exceptional whisky. Bottled at 87.6 proof, this whisky offers delicate aromas of ripe black cherries, sweet Muscovado sugar, and rich dark chocolate, with hints of new leather and soft peat smoke. On the palate, exotic spices, candied orange peel, toasted oak, and ripe apricots create a vibrant intensity. The finish is long and memorable, with dry spices and the impression of dark espresso coffee intertwined with aromatic peat smoke. Only 274 bottles were released, each being signed by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion.

About Whisk(e)y
Whiskey origin dates back to Ireland more than 600 years ago and has become the fastest-growing spirit category on the planet since then.
It is produced worldwide from scotch, Irish whiskey, bourbon, rye, Japanese whisky, and other types. Each has a distinct flavor profile due to numerous factors from different types of climate, ingredients, distilling methods, and the aging process.
The nose is fruity, rich, and sweet with black cherry, dark sugar, peach, and dark chocolate aromas, followed by a touch of leather and peat smoke. It's complex on the palate with spices, orange zest, toasted oak, and ripe apricot. The finish is equally complex with spices, coffee, and lingering peat.
