The High Ore Mine, one of the deepest and richest mines in Butte, was a real pot of gold for all the local miners who dared to venture into its depths. It was well known for producing its high-quality ore minerals, earning itself the name The Richest Hill on Earth. But, it was not the abundance of the minerals that made it so popular, it was mostly their unparalleled purity — a rare purity that was not common to other mines in Butte. So the team over at Headframe Spirits chose it as a staple of their distilling process, going on a mission to find the purest possible form of distillation — and now they claim that they have found it in their High Ore Vodka. Mashed with the freshest waters of the Montana snowmelt and crafted with immense precision and meticulousness, this velvety smooth spirit undoubtedly brings you a refreshing and satisfying sipping experience.

Butte, Montana is a historical mining town with a budding local micro-distillery scene. Headframe Spirits is situated in Butte’s historic Schumacher Building. The Headframe Distillery is home to some of the most cutting-edge processes in the micro-distilling industry. Their mash and ferment procedures and distillation equipment is designed to maximize quality. Their award-winning lineup is produced using a "batch" distillation technique with a "continuous flow" distillation. Their unique stills are capable of processing 1,000 gallons of fermented wash per day.
Each bottle celebrates the history of a specific mine of Butte Montana and those who worked there. Their lineup includes five unique expressions—Neversweat Bourbon Whiskey, High ore vodka, Anselmo gin, destroying Angel Whiskey and orphan girl Bourbon Cream liqueur—each telling the story of Butte, America, sharing its history and that spirit with the world.
Historians are not clear on the exact origin of vodka since different sources link its beginning to both Russia and Poland. But one thing is clear: this somewhat simple spirit, first used as a medicinal concoction, has become one of the most versatile drinks in the world.
It can be distilled from any type of grains, potatoes, or even grapes worldwide. Due to its simplicity, this unaged spirit's main flavor factor is the quality of water and the ingredients used in the distillation process.
Primarily used in cocktails, vodka can also stand its ground when enjoyed neat.
