About Corrido Añejo Tequila

Corrido Añejo Tequila, a tribute to the poetic ballads of Prohibition-era tequila smugglers! This handcrafted spirit, inspired by these tales of triumph and tragedy, is an all-natural tequila that honours the past while looking to the future. It's made from Mexico's finest Blue Weber Agave, hand-selected from the highlands of Jalisco—where altitude and rich volcanic red soil yield a more floral and fruity agave. The agave piñas are slow-cooked to perfection, then milled to extract the sweet nectar. 100% all-natural agave yeast is introduced, developing the complex flavors of Corrido. This additive-free tequila is meticulously double-distilled and aged. First, it rests for six months in Mexican Merlot wine barrels, then spends 12 months in proprietary symphony barrels made from three different types of wood. The silky yet intense tequila won a Gold Medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition in 2021.

About Tequila

Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there's more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.

This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.

Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age - from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.
