About Azul Imperial "Classic" Special Edition Reposado Tequila
Azul Imperial "Classic" Special Edition Reposado Tequila is the creation of Macrina Montes, a pioneering woman in an industry typically dominated by men. With agaves grown under optimal conditions in Jalisco, Mexico, this tequila takes more than seven years to journey from field to bottle. Azul Imperial's production process is one of meticulous craftsmanship. Each batch originates from a single field, the agave undergoes slow cooking in traditional brick ovens, and is crushed and fermented for three days. It is then double-distilled and aged for nine months in lightly toasted American white oak barrels, three months longer than the standard reposado. The result is a tequila with a smooth finish and rich flavor profile, boasting notes of cooked agave, vanilla, citrus, almond, and warm spices. It's not just the taste that sets it apart—this tequila has also earned its share of accolades, including Gold at the 2019 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition and Platinum at the 2016 SIP Awards. It's not just a tequila, it's an experience.

About Tequila
Although tequila has developed a bad reputation, there's more to the spirit than just shots on a Saturday night.
This traditional Mexican drink origins in the state of Jalisco when according to a local legend, lightning struck an agave cactus before the Nahua tribe drank its warm nectar. Behold, tequila.
Legally, tequila has to be made of 51% of Blue agave around the Jalisco region in Mexico. There are different types of tequila according to age - from the youngest representatives, blanco, reposado, and añejo, to the oldest extra añejo.
Look for cooked agave, vanilla, citrus, almond, and warm spice aromas on the nose of this amber-colored tequila. The notes are mirrored on the balanced palate that leads to a satisfying finish with lingering warm spice.
