About The Old Fashioned Cocktail Kit
The Old Fashioned is arguably the most popular cocktail and hands down the most popular whiskey cocktail ever mixed. Dating back to the late 1800s, the cocktail’s popularity continued into the early 20th century before briefly falling out of fashion. In a show of resilience, however, the Old Fashioned made a comeback around the mid-20th century as evidenced by the AMC series Mad Men, where it may be an even bigger star than Don Draper, the man who perpetually has one in hand.
The Old Fashioned has once again made a resurgence during the past 15 years. The combination of the rise in popularity of whiskey and mixology in the United States, and around the world, has brought the cocktail center stage once more, this time with creative newe recipes swapping out sugar for honey or agave and various types of bitters being used.
1792 Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which was named after the year that Kentucky achieved statehood in the United States, earned the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition in 2011 and earned a score of 95 points — the same as Pappy Van Winkle's 23 Year Old Bourbon — at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge in 2012. Bold aroma of spices and rye. Initial notes of poached apples, pears and custard are balanced by notes of rye and lead to hints of coffee, butterscotch and mellow figs. Lingering, smooth finish that slightly warms.
The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters opens with a nose of spicy cloves, gingerbread and subtle fruit aromas. The complex flavor on the palate begins with cinnamon, clove and anise that ends with a bitter, tangy finish.
The Bitter Truth Orange Bitters combines bitter orange peel with herbs and spices that are macerated in alcohol. Aroma of bitter and orange peel gives way to spicy nutmeg, cinnamon and caraway. On the palate, these bitters open with a citrus, fruity sweetness that is followed by a bitter taste.

About Cocktails
The history of cocktails dates back to the not-so-good days of prohibition when people started to mix drinks trying to make the homemade or bootlegged liquor drinkable.
But things have changed since then, and cocktails have become increasingly popular with modern pop culture, from classics like Martini, Old Fashioned, or Negroni, to the more festive versions like Margaritas and Mojitos becoming staples in most bars.
