About Sugarlands Appalachian Sippin' Cream Eggo Nog Cream Liqueur

Kellogg’s Eggo has partnered with the Sugarlands craft distillery to extend the cheery holiday season from December to all-year-long with this decadent eggnog cream liqueur. Eggo Nog is a rum-based liqueur with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon, a boozy liquid version of the famously delicious Eggo waffle. The recipe for a grown-up variation of the Eggo waffle was developed by Greg Eidam, Sugarlands Master Distiller with the team, that has transformed their Appalachian Sippin’ Cream into a more festive drink by adding natural flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg to the base of dairy cream and rum, producing an eggnog variation that you can enjoy anytime, and without putting in any of the extra work and time. At an ABV of 20%, Sugarlands Appalachian Sippin' Cream Eggo Nog Cream Liqueur is a bit more powerful than what we’re used to from cream liqueurs, but hey, we’re not complaining.

Let this bottle turn on the holiday heat any time of the year by grabbing your bottle today!

About Sugarlands

In the mid-1800s, a handful of European settlers from Ireland and Scotland made their home in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Due to the abundance of sugar maple trees in the area, the settlers affectionately renamed it the “Sugarlands.” To this day, the area’s rich land, abundance of corn and, of course, predominance of sugar maple trees have made the Sugarlands a moonshiner’s paradise.

Opened in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 2014, Sugarlands Distilling Company produces craft-quality moonshine, whiskey, and liqueurs “with one foot firmly planted in the past and the other in modern times.” Using an artisanal stone mill to grind grains like corn and rye into meal, Sugarlands Distilling Company then mixes in pure Smoky Mountain water to create the mash. From there, the liquid is transferred to the fermenter to simmer for a few days, and when the time is right, that "wash" is pumped into the copper pot still where it is heated and distilled. The alcohol vapor filters through the copper pipes and rises up through the plates of the distillation column, down through the chilling column to cool and is finally poured out of the Spirit Safe.

This creamy liqueur is full-bodied and mouthwatering. On the nose, it has warm notes of rum and vanilla and on the palate, it is rich and delicious, with notes of cream, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, and spiced rum. The finish is gentle and warm, with creamy eggnog and bakery spice. A pure delight.
