About KinnicKinnic Whiskey

KinnicKinnic Whiskey has a nose that is slightly hot and which contains hints of pears, cracked black pepper and dry, toasty oak. The initial heat from the whiskey gives way to flavors of nuts and buttery bread with an enlivening cinnamon spice. The finish has notes of cereal and barley, which accompany a spicy bite.

KinnicKinnic Whiskey earned the Gold Medal at the 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the 2012 Denver International Spirits Competition. "Customers have been asking us about a whiskey for years," says Rehorst. "We've finally developed a whiskey that compliments our distillation techniques with a great bourbon, and we're really proud of it." Pick up a bottle today and try it in a KinnicKinnic drink!

About Great Lakes

In the spring of 1812, as tensions grew between the United States and Great Britain (ultimately culminated in the War of 1812), Thomas Jefferson was enjoying his retirement from public life at his estate in Monticello. As construction was underway on his brick garden pavilion, Jefferson — using malt he purchased from his neighbor and hops he bought locally — began brewing beer at his home in Virginia.

Nearly two centuries later, Lakefront Brewery owner Russ Klisch was reading a dusty brewing tome and discovered a recipe that Jefferson had used to brew pumpkin beer. Klisch seized the recipe and the opportunity immediately and created Lakefront Pumpkin Lager — the only pumpkin lager made anywhere in the world.

About American Whiskey

There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don't fall into those two strictly regulated categories.

There's equally strictly regulated American single malt, made from 100% malted barley, Tennessee whiskey, essentially bourbon filtered through maple charcoal and aged in new charred oak barrels.

And then there's moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.

Check out our impressive selection of American single malts, or find your new favorite in our rich whisk(e)y selection, and get familiarized with what the world has to offer.
