Le Medaillon Rosé Champagne
This exceptional rosé Champagne is made using the very rare saignée method, and contains 100% Pinot Noir grapes. This method allows the Champagne to retain all the flavor, structure and aroma from the Pinot Noir grape.
Established more than 200 years ago and located at Celles-sur-Ource, in the Aube Valley close to Burgundy, the vineyard which produces Le Medaillon Champagne abounds with beautiful parcels of vines, well exposed and perched above Burgundy-quality soil (the exact territory was disputed by the County of Burgundy and County of Champagne, with the Comte de Champagne eventually establishing its right). The vines benefit from a base of chalky sediments with a clay-limestone surface layer - these conditions of soil, climate and the grapes themselves give Le Medaillon Champagne its unique flavor and bouquet, and the Champagne’s personality truly cannot be found anywhere else. The bottles are stored in a deep, cool cellar, which catalyzes a second fermentation in the bottle. Placed on their neck panels slightly inclined downwards (for the purpose of lowering the deposit to the neck of the bottle), the bottles are turned 1-3 times per day, for several weeks before they’re ready to be disgorged. Le Medaillon Rosé is made using the extremely rare saignée method, which allows the Champagne to retain all of the flavor, structure and aroma from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Following the Le Medaillon tradition, the Rosé is aged 30 months. Le Medaillon Rosé has a nose of red fruit and candy, which leads to a semi-sweet palate and an enjoyable finish of strawberries and ginger. Pick up a bottle today!
