About George T. Stagg 2017 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is part of Buffalo Trace's revered Antique Collection. This expression honors the man that played an integral part in creating the Buffalo Trace Distillery as we know it today. It's a robust bourbon that's always uncut and unfiltered with a bold character to match the personality of the founder of the George T. Stagg Distillery, as Buffalo Trace was once known. The 2017 release was distilled in 2002 from Kentucky corn, Minnesota rye, and North Dakota malted barley. The well-aged spirit then spent more than 15 years and 3 months in its new, charred American oak casks in warehouses C, K, M, and Q. The rich and powerful 129.2-proof whiskey was awarded the Double Gold Medal at the 2018 edition of the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
